Statistical Functions in Python – Set 2:

In article below we will discuss the measure of spread function of statistics.

  1. variance(): It is a function which calculates the variance, i.e., the measure of deviation of data. The greater the value of variance, the larger will be the spread. In case there is an empty argument we will get a
  2. pvariance(): It is a function which computes the variance of entire population. The data is interpreted as it is of the whole population. In case the argument passed is empty, a StatisticsError will be raised.

  3. stdev(): When this function is called, it returns the standard deviation of the data. In case we pass an empty argument, StatisticsError will be raised.
  4. pstdev(): It is a function which returns the population standard deviation of the data. In case of empty argument, StatisticsError will be raised.
